The Student Wellness Coordinator at Eastern Kentucky University plays a vital role in promoting student wellness and fostering a supportive campus environment. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Fitness and Wellness in Campus Recreation, this position is responsible for coordinating and facilitating various wellness programs aimed at enhancing the well-being of students. The Coordinator will engage with students to promote healthy relationship behaviors and provide training and education on interpersonal violence prevention. This role requires a proactive approach to sustain meaningful engagement with students and collaborate with student leaders to advance wellness initiatives on campus. The Coordinator will develop and implement programs that raise awareness about interpersonal and domestic violence, focusing on intervention and prevention strategies. This includes connecting students to local and national advocacy resources that support their well-being, particularly for those experiencing interpersonal and domestic violence. The Coordinator will work closely with campus and community partners to ensure that robust wellness resources are available to students. Additionally, the Coordinator will oversee compliance with training requirements and metrics, ensuring that all university standards related to student wellness are met. Operational duties are also a key component of this role, including managing communications, data management and analysis, scheduling, and organizing activities related to student wellness initiatives. The Coordinator will be expected to maintain excellent public relations with both internal and external constituents, creating professional reports, presentations, and documents to support their initiatives.
