About The Position
UNM Athletics is looking for a Student Video Assistant to assist in its football video office. This student will set-up film equipment for various sporting functions, film practice and games for different sports, break down equipment and run tapes. Operates video cameras and related equipment in the production and editing of video documentaries, educational television programs, or other video productions such as sporting events or scouting video.
Requirements
- Not afraid of heights.
- Must be able to lift 20lbs – 30 lbs.
Nice To Haves
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software
- Demonstrate ability to work in a fast-paced collegiate setting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to take initiative to complete tasks and projects with limited supervision
- Sports experience is preferred, but not required
Responsibilities
- Setup all video equipment to film practices and home games (Football).
- Running tapes from practice or games into the video room.
- Assist in the maintenance of all video equipment.
- Other job-related duties as assigned.
