About The Position

Southern New Hampshire University is seeking a student employee to fill the role of Assistant to the Program Director for our partner organization UpReach Therapeutic Equestrian Center in Goffstown, NH. The student in this position will gain a wide range of experience in program support, becoming involved in multiple areas of programming offered, volunteer management, and experiencing the daily functions of a nonprofit organization.

Requirements

• Current enrollment in classes as part of a SNHU degree program
• Work study part of financial aid package
• Reliable transportation
• Willingness to attend required mounted and unmounted trainings
• Demonstrate professionalism and maintain confidentiality
• Ability to balance various projects simultaneously with attention to detail and follow through
• Experience with Microsoft Suite especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint is preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to the program staff in development, implementation and evaluation of new and current programming
• Assist in the collection of analysis and reporting of program data
• Work with participants in mounted and unmounted lessons
• Support the Volunteer Coordinator as needed
• Learn about community needs and take part in various community initiatives and events
