Highlights: Summary: The Student Ultrasonographer will work with a registered Ultrasonographer to complete ultrasound exams. The Student will be responsible to prepare patients for exams, screen patients for procedures, transport patients, complete exam worksheets, and stock and prepare exam rooms. This individual will also assist in the performance of ultrasound exams. Additionally, the Student will assist the registered Ultrasonographer in the completion of exams and procedures. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Must be a student currently enrolled in an accredited Ultrasound Program
- Must have Sonographic Principles and Instrumentation for ARDMS
- BLS required
- Advanced anatomy knowledge
- Ultrasound physics
- Proper sterilization techniques
- Professional bedside manner
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Operate ultrasound equipment and Non-Invasive Vascular equipment
- Provide ongoing patient assessment through observation of patient and records
