About The Position

State Fair Community College is an accessible, learning-centered institution, enriching its students and community by providing skills, knowledge and perspectives essential for a changing world. The Student Tutor position is a part time job offering 3-17 hours per week. Schedules will vary and are flexible to meet the individual's own class schedule.

Requirements

• Possess a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Have successfully passed any course the individual will be tutoring with a minimum final grade of a B.
• Ability to perform all duties with accuracy, efficiency, and professionalism.
• Ability to work with and properly interact with a diverse group of students.

Nice To Haves

• Preference is given to Missouri residents.

Responsibilities

• Provide tutoring for students in classes the tutor is qualified to tutor.
• Enforce policies related to computer use inside the tutoring lab and/or library.
• Assist students with computer software issues (if knowledgeable of the program).
• Tutor math or writing in various courses, or other courses as requested by individual departments.
