Students to Startups is a summer (May – August) based internship program in which University of Alaska students are paired with an Alaska startup company. The ideal candidate would be a student looking for a summer opportunity to work with an Alaskan Startup company. Students who want to gain valuable experience in the world of startups and innovation are encouraged to apply. Students will learn about design thinking, startup funding, intellectual property, customer discovery, path to market strategies, and pitching. Students transition this knowledge into their startup’s work project while growing their own capacity and capabilities for their future opportunities. Through guest lectures, students get to meet other Alaskan entrepreneurs and program leads that assist them growing their network. Requirements

• Must be a current University of Alaska student enrolled in 6 credit hours or more in the academic year and have a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
• To be eligible for this position, applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
• Applicants who now or may in the future require visa sponsorship to work in the United States are not eligible.
