Student Teaching Supervisor

About the position

The School of Social & Behavioral Sciences invites Student Teaching Supervisors for the 2024-2025 academic year. The Psychology Department is home to 16 full-time faculty as well as several, valued, part-time faculty. The department offers an undergraduate psychology major and minor and supports graduate programs in clinical mental health counseling and school psychology. The department members have expertise in many domains and work together to create a rich curricular experience for students that includes theory, research, and applied fieldwork.

Responsibilities

• Supervise student teachers in the field.
• Provide guidance and support to student teachers.
• Conduct observations and evaluations of student teachers.
• Facilitate communication between student teachers and their respective schools.
• Participate in departmental and school activities.

Requirements

• Teaching certification in relevant content grades 7-12.

Benefits

• $1,167 per 1 credit with upward adjustment for years of service at Marist College.
• Pay may vary depending on credits pertaining to online, graduate, music, or lab courses.
