About The Position

The Student Talent Manager (STM) at Uncommon Schools is responsible for overseeing and managing co-curricular and out-of-school programs that help students discover and pursue their passions. This role involves instructional leadership, project management, and collaboration with external partners to ensure high-quality experiences for students. The STM will report directly to the Academy Leader and will play a crucial role in enhancing student engagement and success through various initiatives.

Requirements

  • Experience in large project oversight from planning to execution.
  • Ability to influence and drive change across multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with interpersonal effectiveness.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure.
  • Strong digital literacy skills, including database management and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • 2+ years of instructional or K12 operational experience.
  • Bachelor's degree is required.

Responsibilities

  • Own the execution and management of all co-curricular and out-of-school programs.
  • Lead instructional quality and operational management of projects.
  • Manage relationships with external partners for projects, internships, and summer programs.
  • Support teachers in leading or supporting projects.
  • Facilitate student-led projects with faculty advisors.
  • Oversee logistics for competitive clubs attending tournaments.
  • Manage the grant supporting Student Talent initiatives, including budget and student data records.
  • Communicate internal and external successes related to Student Talent.
  • Ensure access to high-quality materials for projects and manage their inventory.
  • Plan and lead whole-school events related to Student Talent.
