The Student TA for PRJ-3000-3050 - ANIMATION - 3D Game (Samson) is responsible for assisting students in their game art creation pipeline, providing guidance on best practices, and helping resolve issues related to 3D game art assets. The position requires effective communication with students and instructors, as well as the ability to provide constructive feedback. The TA will work outside of scheduled class times and must be flexible with their hours. The expected dates of employment are from September 2, 2025, to April 17, 2026, with a maximum of 8 hours of work per week.

  • Assist students in working through their game art creation pipeline.
  • Review and advise on early versions of skeletons, rigs, planned animation, and workflow.
  • Identify and resolve issues with game teams regarding 3D game art assets.
  • Help students understand game creation phases and support them in producing targeted art assets.
  • Assist instructors and game teams outside of their two PRJ weekly labs.
  • Provide proactive support to game teams and maintain effective communication.
  • Provide verbal and written feedback to game teams.
  • Report troubles, ideas, course improvements, and student issues to instructors.
  • Meet with the instructor monthly for performance feedback.
  • Must be a current student at DigiPen Institute of Technology.
  • Good Academic Standing with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
  • Have taken and passed PRJ-3050 or PRJ-352 with a B or better.
  • Solid foundation as a generalist in 3D art production.
  • High level of motivation and self-organization.
  • Positive attitude toward learning and willingness to help others.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to articulate team issues.
  • Ability to work well remotely and in person.
  • Accountable for tracking and reporting time worked.
  • Experience creating a 3D game in Unity/Unreal.
  • Significant 3D art contribution in a team project.
  • Applied knowledge of painting software.
  • Flexible work hours based on class schedule.
