About The Position

The Student Sustainability Engagement Intern at Aramark / UCF Dining will support the marketing team in promoting sustainability initiatives on campus. This role involves planning and executing sustainability-oriented events, creating marketing materials, and collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance student engagement in sustainability efforts.

Requirements

• Must be a current UCF Student
• Big-picture thinking with holistic ideas for student engagement and the over-sustainability initiative
• Creative marketing skills
• Organized and efficient worker; ability to keep track of multiple projects and tasks
• Candidate must demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Proficient in MS Office
• Ability to work both independently and on a team

Responsibilities

• Assist Marketing Manager with coordinating and executing marketing campaigns on campus.
• Help plan and execute events, including educational tables, farmer’s markets, residential theme events, etc.
• Collaborate with graphic designer to develop and distribute signage on campus.
• Create education and outreach materials as needed.
• Assist in planning for recurring events.
• Act as a liaison between UCF Dining and campus partners, students, and community members.
• Adhere to Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation.
• Ensure security of company assets.
• Communicate effectively with students, faculty, staff, and community members.
• Find opportunities to collaborate with community and campus partners.
• Attend weekly staff meetings and regular weekly project team meetings.
• Develop a basic knowledge of sustainability and environmental principles (no prior sustainability knowledge is necessary for this assistantship).
• Other duties and tasks as assigned by Marketing manager.
