The Imogen Foundation provides high-quality afterschool programming rooted in Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and Positive Youth Development (PYD). Our programs are dedicated to supporting the social and emotional growth of participants by offering choice-based activities that empower student voices and encourage compassion, understanding, and kindness. We serve the childcare and enrichment needs of elementary school children and families in NYC public schools, creating safe, inclusive, and engaging environments for all. We are committed to actively working to overcome barriers to access by maintaining environments where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. The Student Support Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring that students with additional needs receive the individualized attention and support necessary to thrive in our afterschool programs. Working closely with the Program Director, the Student Support Coordinator will provide one-on-one support, conduct targeted observations, implement interventions, and co-develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs). As a consistent, positive presence on site, the Student Support Coordinator will model behaviors and SEL strategies that inspire and equip other staff to better support all students. This position is ideal for a dynamic, compassionate professional with experience working with children who is eager to make a meaningful difference in a school-based, community-focused setting.
