About The Position
BrightBee is an innovative staffing partner that connects great people like you with jobs supporting students and staff in local schools and non-profits . Our goal is to help schools succeed and give workers the tools and support they need to grow in their careers. This Opportunity: We are partnered with the Boys and Girls Club near Bluffton who are looking for candidates to support k-12 students in a variety of ways. Assignments will be from 3:00-6:00p for the school year and will have full time availability in the summer (those will run 8-5p). The assignment details will always be in the BrightBee App so you will always know what each assignment entails. These assignments with BGC of The Low Country will be student support/camp counselor style along with kitchen/food service support. Please only apply if you are comfortable performing both assignment types. BrightBee centers child safety at the core of its work. Applicants must undergo a background check, adhere to a code of conduct, and comply with all mandated reporter training and reporting requirements Prior to working with students, you will need to pass a background check, livescan and may need to obtain other necessary testing/clearances and provide us with authorization to contact former employers.. Rest assured, we will guide you through the process! Please note, assignments may require the ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods of time. Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED is required. We also welcome candidates with a combination of related experience, training, or education.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and team members.
- Fun, focused on safety, loves supporting students, and the BGC mission for producing healthy and productive citizens of tomorrow
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to take initiative in a variety of settings.
- Comfortable working in diverse school communities and supporting individuals from a wide range of cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
