You’ll support an assigned group of students through proactive advising, coaching, and outreach that empowers them to persist, progress, and graduate.

Requirements

  • Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2–3 years of experience in a related field; higher education experience strongly preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Confidence using technology and student information systems
  • Ability to balance empathy with accountability
  • A student-centered, service-driven mindset

Responsibilities

  • Guide students with course planning, scheduling, study strategies, and time and stress management
  • Coach students in professionalism, academic integrity, and student conduct expectations
  • Provide consistent, proactive outreach to encourage academic success and engagement
  • Identify, monitor, and support at-risk students with timely interventions and resources
  • Plan and implement student workshops and monthly student appreciation initiatives
  • Assist with orientation, graduation, and other key student events (as applicable)
  • Foster a supportive, student-centered experience whether working remotely or on campus
  • Document student interactions accurately in the student information system
  • Communicate with students via email, phone, text, and help desk channels in a timely and caring manner
  • Collaborate with university partners to support holistic student success
  • Attend departmental meetings and professional trainings
  • Understand and comply with FERPA and university policies
