About The Position

Florida Atlantic University is seeking Student Social Media Content Creator & Engagement Assistants – Boca Raton, FL. The Undergraduate Social Media Content Creator & Engagement Assistant positions will assist with social engagement and growth initiatives within the Alumni and Community Engagement team, as well as support with other alumni priorities for the department. This is an exciting opportunity for undergraduate students to gain firsthand engagement experience.

Requirements

• Degree-seeking undergraduate student with a minimum of six credit hours (or twelve if international) and a 2.0 GPA.
• Student Assistants fall under the non-exempt, hourly pay rate type required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to work collaboratively with team members.
• Social media knowledge and creativity.
• Canva and/or other graphic design program experience.
• Excellent customer service, organizational, and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with the communications team in planning and executing social media strategies.
• Create social media posts and videos on Alumni and Community Engagement platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, etc.
• Post social media content during Alumni and other events (Tailgates, Network and Signature events, etc.) These may require off-campus locations.
• Respond to phone calls, voicemails, and answer email correspondence, greet visitors, and perform various office duties, as needed.
