About The Position

The Student Services Specialist at East Carolina University plays a crucial role in supporting the academic and personal development of medical students within the Brody School of Medicine. This full-time position focuses on facilitating various programs aimed at enhancing student success, coordinating events, and serving as a liaison for first and second-year medical students.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate implementation of programs and ensure student success on a day-to-day basis.
• Review materials and ensure essential deadlines are met.
• Coordinate with team members for effective delivery of services.
• Orchestrate logistics for activities and programs such as Career Tasters and Careers in Medical Education.
• Develop, market, promote, implement, and evaluate student organization activities.
• Serve as an academic and personal development liaison to M1/M2 students.
• Independently plan First Year events including the White Coat Ceremony and M1/M2 Orientation.
• Organize Financial Wellness Programs for M1 and M2 students and other foundational sciences related programs.
