About The Position
The Student Services Assistant I position at Utah Valley University (UVU) is a full-time role within the Registrar's Office, which serves as a central hub for various services provided to students, staff, and faculty. In this role, the Student Services Assistant I will work under the direction of the Assistant Registrar for Transfer Credit. The primary responsibility will involve evaluating incoming university and college transfer credits, as well as credits for prior learning, in accordance with university standards and policies. The assistant will conduct independent research on domestic transfer coursework, ensuring accurate comparisons with the institution's available courses. This includes building approved courses into the Banner system with the help of additional software. The assistant will also provide support to students and other stakeholders through various communication channels, including phone calls, emails, and in-person consultations. Additional responsibilities will encompass cross-training in all areas of the Registrar's Office and assisting team members with various tasks and projects as needed. The role is primarily clerical, requiring precise data entry and attention to detail. There is an optional hybrid work schedule available, allowing for one remote workday depending on departmental needs. The position is designed for individuals who are eager to contribute to the continuous improvement of the student transfer credit experience at UVU.
