About The Position

The Student Services Advisor plays a key role in supporting student success and enhancing the overall student experience at Istituto Marangoni Miami. This position provides direct assistance and guidance to students across various aspects of campus life, including student housing, career services processes, and general student support. The ideal candidate is approachable, student -centered, and committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment that fosters personal growth, engagement, and success throughout the student journey.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a related field (required)
Proficiency in English and Spanish (required)
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a diverse, international student population
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Empathy, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to student success
Ability to guide students effectively through various university services and procedures
Collaborative approach to problem -solving and service delivery
Attention to detail and confidentiality in handling student information
Positive, proactive attitude and adaptability in a dynamic academic environment

Nice To Haves

Experience in higher education, student services or similar roles (preferred)
Familiarity with student information systems and administrative tools (preferred)

Responsibilities

Serve as a resource to help students navigate institutional services, policies, and resources available on campus.
Identify and address student concerns, providing appropriate solutions or connecting them with other departments as needed.
Maintain accurate student records and ensure compliance with institutional standards and privacy policies.
Facilitate student support sessions focused on personal development, adjustment to university life, and overall well -being.
Support the daily operations of student housing, ensuring clear and timely communication with students.
Contribute to student orientations, engagement initiatives, commencement ceremonies, and events that promote a sense of belonging and connection to the campus community.
Provide personalized assistance to students regarding housing information, check -in/check -out procedures, and residential life inquiries.
Assist with placement procedures and career services activities, including supporting advisory sessions, workshops, and career development events.
Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure a holistic and consistent student experience.
Perform other related duties as assigned to support the Student Affairs Department.
