In this role, you’ll work under the direction of a licensed respiratory therapist and assist with a variety of tasks that support patient care and respiratory services.

Requirements

High school diploma and must currently be enrolled in respiratory therapist program.
Must be able to lift equipment and or supplies weighing up to 30 pounds and push/handle equipment weighing up to 100 pounds.
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
Act 33 with renewal
Act 34 with renewal
Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal

Responsibilities

Respond to the needs of patients, families, and staff with service excellence.
Maintain and distribute oxygen cylinders and respiratory equipment across inpatient units, the emergency department, and clinics.
Assemble, clean, disinfect, calibrate, and troubleshoot respiratory care equipment.
Transport equipment safely using proper infection control techniques.
Assist respiratory therapists with procedures such as bronchoscopy setup, non-emergent intubations/extubations, and sleep study documentation.
Perform smoking cessation counseling per department policy.
Track and catalog respiratory care equipment and assist with preventative maintenance.
Deliver home care supplies such as oxygen tanks/compressors.
Use Microsoft Office, EHR systems, and ordering platforms to complete tasks efficiently.
