About The Position

The Student Resident will play a vital role in fostering a vibrant and invitational atmosphere within our Student Ministry. The Student Resident will provide discipleship, leadership, and contribution to the overall growth of our Student Ministry.

Requirements

• Agree with The Village Church’s Expectations of Membership, Statement of Faith and Theological Distinctives and commit to exhibit a lifestyle that is consistent with the same
• High school diploma required
• Experience working with or volunteering with students
• Experience in leading, shepherding, and equipping volunteers
• Proficient in administration, communication, and event planning and execution
• Ability to work within the context of a team
• Flexible and adaptable

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree and/or Biblical Studies/Seminary experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist the Minister, Student & Young Adult Director with executing a ministry strategy for reaching and connecting with local middle and high school students
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parachurch leaders, local teachers, coaches, and administrators to create a supportive and welcoming environment
• Assist in developing and delivering compelling and relevant teachings during regular Student Ministry gatherings
• Assist in the planning and execution of student ministry connection, catalytic, and formational events.
• Assist in recruiting and equipping volunteers
• Active involvement in the life of TVC, including staff meetings and events
