About The Position

Student Research Assistant Perform research for Multiplier ORCA Grant Duties include but are not limited to: Assist fellow students and citizen scientists in field sample identification, collection, and recording. Prepare samples for processing and/or shipping to lab. Assist with creation of database and/or StoryMap connecting field observations with genetic sequencing data. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Graduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
• Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.

Nice To Haves

• Demonstrates current enrollment in Psychology, Geography and Environmental Resources, Biology, or other related majors.
• Knowledge of statistics and/or GIS, and willingness to work in the field
