About The Position

Psychology Student Research Assistant working with Professor Christopher Hawk Assist with human-subjects research, including: Setting up lab space Running participants through study protocols Consolidating and organizing data Compensating participants Maintaining accurate records Support background research efforts: Conduct literature searches Read, catalog, and store academic articles Contribute to literature reviews and IRB applications May assist with: Developing study materials or stimuli Coding and analyzing raw data Other research-related tasks as needed Work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously Track and report hours worked accurately

  • Ability to work independently
  • Applicants MUST be a current student at DigiPen Institute of Technology to qualify for this position.
  • Students may not work during any time when they have a class scheduled, a class is canceled, or a class ends early.
  • Student workers must reside within the State of Washington. Remote work outside of Washington will not be permitted.
  • Are currently a Matriculated student at DigiPen Institute of Technology
  • Good Academic Standing - not on Academic Warning as defined in DigiPen Course Catalog
  • A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher

Responsibilities

  • Assist with human-subjects research, including setting up lab space, running participants through study protocols, consolidating and organizing data, compensating participants, and maintaining accurate records
  • Support background research efforts, including conducting literature searches, reading, cataloging, and storing academic articles, and contributing to literature reviews and IRB applications
  • Assist with developing study materials or stimuli
  • Assist with coding and analyzing raw data
