Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Current students: Must have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.25 and successfully completed 9 credits or more in the most recent semester with a GPA of at least 2.0
  • Must be enrolled at least half-time
  • Must be currently enrolled or attending classes at Florida Polytechnic University

Responsibilities

  • Sample preparation - crushing, pulverizing and measuring for chemical analysis
  • Operation of analytical tools such as pH meter and ion probes
  • Acid digestion of solid and liquid samples for chemical analysis
  • Data recording
  • Glassware cleaning for chemical analysis and general lab cleaning
