About The Position

Students will work with faculty mentor to conduct research as outlined in URSCA award. Students must have received an URSCA award for the 2025-2026 academic year.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent education
• Must be a current UVU student
• Must have received a URSCA grant.
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Good telephone, email, and customer service skills
• Attention to detail
• Professionalism
• Organizational skills
• Computer skills (Internet, Windows, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Good work ethic/self-motivated
• Ability to be a team player
• Ability to interact and communicate in person and on the phone with college students
• Willingness to try/learn new things
• Knowledge of Facebook and Instagram and other social media

Responsibilities

• Gathering, compiling, cleaning and/or entering data
• Assisting with transcription and/or coding of qualitative data
• Assisting in programming, coordinating, and conducting survey research, focus groups and other data collection efforts
• Cleaning and analyzing data
• Assisting in producing, cleaning, and analyzing data files
• Producing summaries of data from data sets.
• Assists with department's social media posts and digital signs
