About The Position

UC Health is hiring a per-diem Student Radiology Technologist for the Radiology Department at The University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must be currently enrolled in a radiology technology program

Responsibilities

  • Communicates in a clear and appropriate manner with patients and staff while being able to identify and respond to varying needs.
  • Assists the Radiologic Technologist or Special Procedures Technologist in the coordination and performance of diagnostic examinations of patients, patient care, and transport of patients as needed.
  • Prepares labels and containers for contrast administration.
  • Research patient's previous exams and reports and keeps patient's family informed about the status of examination while also supporting patient through situations which may induce anxiety.
  • Perform clerical work such as answering phone calls, processing paperwork, and completing functions in both the QuadRIS and PACS systems related to the study.
  • Maintains clean and orderly examination rooms by cleaning instruments, observing and enforcing magnetic safety policies, and ensuring instruments used in MRI are non-magnetic.
