About The Position

Beloit Health Systems is seeking a Student Radiology Technologist for their Cardiac Catheterization Lab at Beloit Memorial Hospital in Beloit, WI. This role is a 1st shift, varied schedule, per-diem position. The Student Radiology Technologist assists Radiologic Technologists and Nursing staff in their duties and provides patient care essential to Cath Lab procedures using imaging modalities as prescribed by a physician.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in an accredited Radiology program
CPR certification within 3 months of hire
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
Basic computer skills
Must adhere to established hospital and Cardiovascular Services department policies, rules, and regulations
Maintain ethical conduct and keep confidential personal and medical information about patients

Responsibilities

Move and transporting of patients
Prepare procedure charts, including pulling old charts, printing patient ID stickers, referencing past studies in Synapse cardiovascular, and preparing billing slips
Greet patients in a friendly, professional manner
Assist with pulling supplies, pre-procedure room preparation, patient preparation, procedure flow, and post-procedure care of the patient
Practice aseptic techniques as necessary
Select contrast based on patient lab work
Assist in cleaning of the labs and room
Answer phone and take messages
Initiate basic life support if necessary
Stock supplies, linens, and contrast in procedure rooms
