About The Position

Operates radiology equipment under the direct supervision of a registered and licensed Radiology technologist in the state of WA. Actively and continuously enrolled in a certified Radiology Technology program. Under direct supervision of a licensed RT produce radiographic images of specified areas of the body and performs related technical x-ray procedures in accordance with physicians orders and standard techniques, procedures or specific instructions.

Requirements

• Actively and continuously enrolled in a certified Radiology Technology program.
• Must be supervised by a licensed RT present in the facility.

Responsibilities

• Documents all quality control as required for regulatory agencies.
• Considers the cognitive, physical, emotional and chronological maturation process in delivery of services to patients in the age group served.
• Assesses data reflective of the patients status and interprets the appropriate information needed to identify each patients requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs.
• Provides the care needed in accordance with department policy.
• Exercises clinical judgment within scope of practice.
• Creates CDs of images to be sent to outside physicians.
• Faxes reports to outside physician offices as needed.
• Greets, instructs and communicates to all patients in a courteous and professional manner.
• Prepares examination and treatment rooms for use by physicians and other medical providers by cleaning, stocking and arranging supplies, equipment and instruments.
• Reviews orders and takes appropriate action.
• Works under the direct supervision of a WA state licenses RT.
• Performs other duties as required.
