About The Position

In order to participate in Berklee Student Employment, a student must fulfill the following requirements: Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee. Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate program. Summer is the only semester in which a student can maintain employment without being enrolled. In this case, the student must be pre-registered for the upcoming fall semester. This exception does not apply to fall or spring semesters. Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN). Remain in “valid” Visa status as applicable. A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Students in their first semester can work, even though they do not have an official GPA until the completion of their first semester. Federal Work Study student may apply.   • Experience with event planning, tabling, or student programming
  • Experience using Canva for posters or social media graphics
  • Interest in marketing, communications, or content creation

Responsibilities

  • Program and Event Support Support weekly and signature Campus Life programs including Caffeine Breaks, Welcome Weeks, Family Weekend, Mingus Madness, Fallfest, and related events
  • Assist with event setup and breakdown, including tabling, room layouts, signage, giveaways, and supplies
  • Pull materials such as tablecloths, signage, and program supplies and return unused materials to appropriate storage
  • Assist with staffing events and supporting student engagement during programs
  • Work with professional staff to understand event needs and timelines
  • Assist with developing run-of-show documents and event flow plans
  • Logistics and Operations Make and confirm room and tabling requests as needed
  • Support inventory management, including tracking supplies and snacks using Excel
  • Support Caffeine Break logistics by ensuring catering delivery arrival, setting up snacks and drinks, supporting campus partner tabling, and returning tables and materials after the event
  • Marketing and Promotion Collaborate on marketing and communication efforts for Campus Life programs
  • Assist with collecting programs for the monthly programming calendar
  • Research campus events and Boston-area opportunities for inclusion in calendars and promotions
  • Support development of monthly social media calendars and content plans
  • Create and post content using Instagram, Meta tools, and Canva
  • Assist with creating posters for physical posting and digital signage
  • Help gather photos and videos, engage students on site, and support content creation and posting
  • Creative and Collaborative Work Participate in brainstorming ideas for student programming that supports connection and community
  • Engage with students during events and help encourage participation
  • Work both independently and collaboratively with staff and student leaders
