About The Position

THE STUDENT PHLEBOTOMIST PROGRAM IN PARTNERSHIP WITH BROCKWAY CENTER FOR ARTS & TECHNOLOGY (BCAT) provides students with an opportunity to learn and gain experience in the laboratory setting while becoming a certified phlebotomist. This position also allows for developing time management skills and problem solving techniques. COURSE DETAILS: Earn while you learn-paid course! 8 week course beginning January 19th, 2025 3 days per week in the classroom at BCAT (9:00am to 2:30pm) 2 days per week hands-on training at a Penn Highlands Healthcare facility (day shift) Once the course ends, you'll join Penn Highlands Healthcare as a Phlebotomist working varied shifts, every other weekend & every other holiday

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent required
  • Must obtain ASCP certification within 2 years of course completion
  • Computer skills preferred
