Peer Health Educators are a diverse group of NCC students trained and certified to educate their classmates about college health and wellness in an informative, fun, interactive, non-judgmental manner. The PHEs are dedicated to providing health and wellness education with sensitivity to race, gender, sexual orientation, culture, religion, and individual capabilities. How are PHEs trained? PHEs receive comprehensive Bacchus peer health training which will prepare the PHE to facilitate dynamic outreach programs, create informative awareness events, and promote and support a healthy campus culture. A BACCHUS certificate is received upon successful completion of training. Ongoing collaboration and training with the Dyson Wellness Center staff occurs throughout the term.
