About The Position

The Student Pastor provides spiritual leadership and oversight for all middle school and high school ministries. This role exists to help students know Christ personally, grow in their faith, and live missionally within their schools, families, and communities. This role includes trainings up leaders and volunteers by equipping, empowering, and encouraging them, as well as partnering with parents.

Requirements

• Model a personal, growing relationship with Jesus Christ and a lifestyle consistent with biblical leadership.
• Demonstrate humility, integrity, and a servant-hearted approach to ministry.
• Fully engage in the ministry of the church. This includes attending a weekend service, tithing, and leadership development efforts.
• Uphold all church safety policies, child protection standards, and background screening requirements.
• Passionate about discipling students and developing leaders.
• Strong communication and teaching skills with both students and adults.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate.
• Relational and approachable, with the ability to connect across diverse backgrounds.
• Skilled in event planning, organization, and communication
• High School Degree (required)

Nice To Haves

• Bachelors degree related to the field (preferred)
• 2-5 years of experience in student ministry leadership (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Teach biblical and relevant messages that engage students with the truth of God’s Word.
• Recruit, equip, empower, and encourage volunteer leaders to become the driving force of the ministry.
• Build strong partnerships with parents, providing tools to support and disciple their students at home.
• Create opportunities for students to encounter Christ, grow in community, and serve on mission.
• Help plan and execute camps, conferences, and other major ministry events.
• Collaborate with a team to ensure Compass Students supports the larger mission of the church.
• Manage ministry communication, logistics, and budget with excellence and accountability.
