About The Position

The Student Pastor will lead the student ministry staff, volunteers, and students to become mature followers of Christ through relational environments. You win when your team is equipped, empowered, and inspired to reach students & families. The Student Pastor's responsibilities include: Collaborate with the Ministry Leadership Team to accomplish the vision of FC. Lead the student ministry team to embrace the vision and values of FC staff. Develop the annual student ministry calendar and budget that supports church-wide goals. Develop and monitor annual goals, objectives, and budgets in a timely manner. Direct the strategy to help outreach opportunities on school campuses by building relationships with school administrators, teachers, coaches, and faculty. Work with the student ministry to create the Midweek sermon series. Be the primary speaker on Wednesday. Equip student ministry staff to lead High School and Middle School ministries effectively. Follow the Volunteer System of FC to effectively recruit and train adult leaders to become effective small group leaders, coaches, and disciple makers. With the student ministry team, create a small group curriculum that coincides with the sermon series from the Midweek service. Lead and direct the creation and execution of major student ministry events. Ensure that all policies and procedures are established and adhered to for all areas within the Student Ministry. Partner with parents to help develop students, as well as communicate with parents and be willing to counsel and guide parents. Assist the Lead Pastor as needed on Sunday morning, emcee, coach, baptize, etc…

Requirements

Bachelor's, seminary preferred
5+ years of applicable experience
Loves Jesus and cares about making disciples through relational environments.
Loves H.S. Students and is passionate about evangelism and discipleship.
Able to recruit, train, and inspire leaders to accomplish the vision.
Self-starter and a developer of people, not just a doer of tasks.
Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to create and manage strategic plans.
