About The Position

The Cincinnati Insurance Companies’ Pricing & Predictive Analytics and Corporate Actuarial departments are currently seeking graduate-level Actuarial Intern(s). This role is intended for students who have earned a bachelor’s degree and are currently enrolled in a master’s program. Our successful candidate(s) will want to gain meaningful work experience with us for Summer 2026 at our corporate headquarters located in Fairfield, OH. Hybrid work options are available in select departments at our Headquarters located in Fairfield, Ohio. Eligibility may vary based on your role, responsibilities, and departmental policies. We are looking for highly talented graduate students who are interested in learning new things and can contribute to a dynamic and broadly skilled actuarial department. This is an opportunity to work with experienced professionals, to learn about the property/casualty actuarial profession, and to build connections that may lead to future job prospects.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a master’s program in a quantitative field of study at an accredited college/university.
  • Have earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, physics, engineering, actuarial science, or related quantitative field of study.
  • Collegiate transcripts required with submission of candidate profile (unofficial are acceptable).
  • In good academic standing (cumulative GPA: 3.0 or higher preferred).
  • Preferred candidates will have passed at least one actuarial exam (P&C).
  • Must be able to work up to 40 hours per week.
  • Proficient in Microsoft® Office tools (specifically Excel) and one or more of – R, SQL, SAS, and related software.

Responsibilities

  • Assess model performance and recommend/implement improvements.
  • Assist with model deployment and delivery of results.
  • Interact with actuaries and company management.
  • Collaborate with several departments within the company, including Commercial Lines, Personal Lines, Claims, and IT.

Benefits

  • Starting Pay: Begins at $25 per hour based on the applicant’s education, experience, completed exams, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
