About The Position

This is a fast-paced position that assists the Manager of UAF Onboarding and Engagement with welcoming new hires to UAF, the development of onboarding and engagement activities to include: campus tours, event planning such as employee welcome and recognition events, content development, creating visual materials such as presentations, website content, multimedia and printed publications, and the implementation of communication plans. To thrive in this role, you must enjoy working with people!

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Must be enrolled in the university system with a minimum of six credit hours in the current semester of employment.
• Must have at least a 2.0 cumulative grade point average.

Nice To Haves

• Basic computer skills (word processing, spreadsheet, and database contacts management).
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to coordinate the use of equipment, building space, or programs.
• Ability to design, print and produce collateral material.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Manager of UAF Onboarding and Engagement with welcoming new hires.
• Develop onboarding and engagement activities including campus tours.
• Plan events such as employee welcome and recognition events.
• Create content and visual materials including presentations and website content.
• Implement communication plans.

Benefits

• Part-time temporary position up to 20 hours per week while school is in session.
• Additional hours may be available during the summer and winter breaks.
• Starting pay is $16.50 per hour, negotiable depending on experience.
