At UH Ahuja Medical Center, you’ll work side by side with experienced nurses, providers, paramedics, and care assistants—together delivering high-quality, compassionate care. Description The Nursing Assistant II (NA II) is an entry-level position specifically designed for current nursing students aiming to enrich their preparation for a nursing career. Under the guidance of an experienced nurse, you will acquire valuable hands-on experience by providing safe, efficient, age-specific care to patients and families in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and/or sustain optimal health status. Requirements
- Thorough knowledge of nursing process and practice.
- Successful completion of a Nursing Fundamentals course required.
- Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed medical therapies (i.e. stethoscope, thermometers, glucometers, and electronic monitoring devices).
- Excellent communication skills.
- Current enrollment in an accredited A.D.N. nursing program required.
- Current enrollment in a BSN nursing program preferred.
- In addition to completing the online application form, candidates should upload their unofficial transcripts showing current enrollment in a nursing program. If you do not have an unofficial transcript readily available, you may request one from your academic institution's student portal or registrar's office.
