About The Position

Join a dedicated and collaborative team in our fast-paced, 43-bed Emergency Department, where we care for both adult and pediatric patients. At UH Ahuja Medical Center, you’ll work side by side with experienced nurses, providers, paramedics, and care assistants—together delivering high-quality, compassionate care. Description The Nursing Assistant II (NA II) is an entry-level position specifically designed for current nursing students aiming to enrich their preparation for a nursing career. Under the guidance of an experienced nurse, you will acquire valuable hands-on experience by providing safe, efficient, age-specific care to patients and families in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and/or sustain optimal health status. Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of nursing process and practice.
  • Successful completion of a Nursing Fundamentals course required.
  • Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed medical therapies (i.e. stethoscope, thermometers, glucometers, and electronic monitoring devices).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Current enrollment in an accredited A.D.N. nursing program required.
  • Current enrollment in a BSN nursing program preferred.
  • In addition to completing the online application form, candidates should upload their unofficial transcripts showing current enrollment in a nursing program. If you do not have an unofficial transcript readily available, you may request one from your academic institution's student portal or registrar's office.
