About The Position

Ahuja Medical Center brings their nursing students into the Float Pool where you will have the opportunity to experience different nursing units throughout the hospital. This allows students to become more well-rounded in their learning as each unit provides a unique learning experience for students on their journey through nursing school! NA IIs work under the direction of an RN to provide safe, efficient, age-specific care to patients and families to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and/or sustain optimal health status. Responsibilities include: Direct patient care delivery, including, but not limited to: ADLs/hygiene, Vital signs, I&O, Bladder scanning, EKG, Glucometer & other point of care testing (where applicable) and Restraints Communication and documentation of interventions and observations Participation in quality improvement process Involved in learning and self-improvement Initiates and maintains a positive relationship with patients/customers and coworkers - why UH Why choose UH as a Student Nurse? Requirements

Enrollment in a Diploma RN, Associate or bachelor’s degree of Nursing from an accredited program
Successful completion of a Registered Nursing Fundamentals course required

Nice To Haves

Prior experience on a related unit or specialty in a practicum, internship or STNA/PCNA/NAII is preferred
