The organization is hiring a Student Nurse for its Intensive Care Unit (ICU) within the Florence Hospital. The Student Nurse (SNAP) provides direct and indirect patient care activities under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). This includes assisting patients with activities of daily living, providing personal care and comfort, and helping maintain a safe and clean environment for assigned patients. Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Currently enrolled in good standing at an accredited nursing program
  • Successful completion of first clinical rotation in an accredited nursing program
  • Not listed on Kentucky or Indiana Abuse Registry
  • Basic math skills
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct and indirect patient care activities under the direction of a RN or LPN
  • Assists patients with activities of daily living
  • Provides for personal care & comfort
  • Assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment for an assigned group of patients
