About The Position

The Student Nurse Apprenticeship Program (SNAP) at ShorePoint Health Port Charlotte offers RN students the opportunity to enter the healthcare workforce before graduation. This program pairs students with a nurse mentor to support their learning and development in a clinical setting. The Student Nurse Apprentice (SNA) will work under the supervision of experienced nursing staff, assisting in patient care and treatment while gaining valuable hands-on experience.

Requirements

• Currently in the 2nd semester of an accredited RN Nursing School (1st semester for Jersey students only).
• Must have completed one semester of nursing school to be considered for the program.

Responsibilities

• Assist Professional RNs in the treatment and care of patients.
• Observe and report pertinent information regarding patients' conditions to RNs.
• Perform various duties that do not require licensure under supervision.
