About The Position
Sentara Norfolk General Hospital (SNGH) is currently recruiting Registered Nurse (RN) Students for the Summer Student Nurse Internship Program (S.N.I.P.). Nursing Students are unlicensed staff members who are within two semesters of graduation from an accredited RN program. S.N.I.P. is an early workforce recruitment initiative offered by Sentara Norfolk Hospital for soon-to-be graduating seniors from an accredited nursing program. The internship dates are from May 19, 2025, to August 7, 2025, with an application deadline of April 4, 2025. This program offers aspiring nurses a unique opportunity while working as "nursing students" in our acute care facility that is nationally recognized as a Magnet-designated acute care hospital. Selected nursing students will be expected to complete a summer schedule and will be offered interview opportunities with the possibility of preferential job placement and options to participate in sign-on-bonus opportunities upon graduation.
