About The Position

The Student Nurse Extern functions as a collaborative member of the health care team in partnership with and under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN). Will plan to interview candidates in April/May 2026 to start in June 2026.

Must be entering final year of Accredited RN Nursing Program.
Agree to work minimum of 24-hours/month.
May work partial or full shifts to fit schedule.
Set own schedules but may be asked to work PRN as needed.
Will receive Orientation on multiple units.
Student Extern position will end upon graduation from Nursing Program.

Will be asked for the following, upon selection for an interview:

1. Current copy of unofficial college transcript
2. A cover letter discussing your motivation to become a nurse, greatest
strengths and greatest weaknesses.

Requirements

• BLS through the American Heart Association with card in-hand before start date.
• Entering or in final year of accredited RN Nursing Program.
