About The Position
The Impact You Can Make Provides patient care procedures and related activities within the framework of the written care plan and under the direction of the Registered Nurse. Patient care assignments may include neonates, pediatrics, adolescent, adult, and geriatric age groups. How You Will Fulfill Your Potential Responsibilities Demonstrates an understanding of the rationale and basic principles of assigned patients treatment/care procedures Provides hygiene, safety, and comfort needs of assigned patients Provides first-level patient care Utilizes interventions to prevent the complications of bedrest and immobility Assists patients with activities of daily living and encourages appropriate self-care Measures vital signs
Requirements
- High School Diploma or higher
- Currently enrolled in an accredited (ACEN, CCNE, or AACN) nursing program
- Basic Life Support Certification
- One letter of reference from the School of Nursing
- Applicant must provide proof of 3 years completed in a BSN program or 1 year in an associate degree program
- GPA of 3.0 or higher (unofficial transcript is acceptable)
