About The Position

The Nurse Extern I is a nursing student who provides holistic nursing care under the direct supervision of licensed nursing personnel. This role is designed for those who are currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program and have successfully completed their second clinical rotation. Within 6 months of graduation, the Nurse Extern I is eligible for the Nurse Extern II/Clinical Partner role.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in and attending an accredited nursing program.
• Successfully completed second clinical rotation and/or if already a CNA, then one clinical rotation.
• Above average grade point average as evidenced by school transcripts.
• Two letters of recommendation from clinical instructor.
• Successfully completed relevant theory and/or clinical courses for identified specialty areas.
