It is the largest of the four Duke Health hospitals with 1062 patient beds, featuring comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic facilities, including a regional emergency/trauma center and an endo-surgery center. The DUHS SRNA program is intended to provide Registered Nurses (RNs) the opportunity to attend (or are already attending) an accredited school of nurse anesthesia. RNs must apply and be accepted into this program.

Requirements

• BSN is required
• Must be currently enrolled in a Master's degree program from a school of nurse anesthesia approved by the State Accrediting Agency and the Council on Accreditation of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA)
• At least 2 years of critical care experience to be accepted into the program
• Must have current RN licensure
• RN's must apply and be accepted into this program

Benefits

• $45,000 lump sum payment to the SRNA while in school in return for a 36-month commitment upon graduation from CRNA school
• New Grad base salary has been increased to $202,950 (upon commencement of work as a CRNA)
• $60,000 hiring incentive (paid in 6 equal installments – $10,000 every 6 months over 36-months) upon commencement of work as a CRNA
• $15,000 annual stipend for 1.0FTEs (or prorated for <1.0FTEs) for FTE CRNAs working in a hospital setting, paid monthly based on FTE status, for each fiscal year (July 1 – June 30)
• $2500 annual CME allowance for 1.0 FTEs, prorated for those working less
• An $8,000 relocation budget is available for CRNAs whose permanent residence exceeds 50 miles and relocation is 50 miles or more to live near the Duke Facility
