About The Position

Position Overview: The Student Musician is a key contributor to the live theatrical experience, providing musical accompaniment that supports the storytelling, enhances emotional impact, and aligns with the director’s artistic vision. This role requires musical proficiency, collaboration, adaptability, and a strong commitment to the rehearsal and performance process. Requirements

Demonstrated proficiency on assigned instrument(s) or vocal performance.
Ability to read music (preferred, but may vary depending on production needs).
Strong listening and ensemble skills.
Willingness to collaborate and contribute positively to a creative team environment.
Must be available for and attend all scheduled rehearsals and performances.
Must be able to take direction and respond constructively to feedback from the musical director and/or band leader.

Responsibilities

Perform assigned musical parts for rehearsals and live performances with accuracy and consistency.
Collaborate with the musical director, band leader, and fellow musicians to create a cohesive sound that supports the production.
Attend and actively participate in all scheduled rehearsals, technical rehearsals, dress rehearsals, and performances.
Take direction from the musical director and/or band leader, incorporating feedback and adjustments as needed.
Arrive prepared, having practiced assigned music outside of scheduled rehearsal time.
Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and focus throughout the production process.
Be flexible and responsive to changes in music, staging, or timing during rehearsals and performances.
