About The Position

The School of Music, Theatre, and Dance is seeking students to assist in monitoring audition and/or interview rooms with authorized faculty members for both on-campus and Zoom auditions and interviews. Student monitors do not participate in the audition or interview process unless requested by faculty. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assist applicants to the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance in getting to their audition and interview rooms. Keep faculty on schedule to complete auditions and interviews in the allotted time. Act as the third party in the “rule of three” for applicants under the age of 18. Act as ambassadors for the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance and answer questions from applicants, families, and supporters. Enforce and follow policies and procedures as outlined by the Ithaca College Risk Management Protection of Minors Policy

Requirements

• Matriculated School of Music, Theatre, and Dance student at Ithaca College.
• Ability to interact in a professional and courteous manner with a diverse population of applicants and their families and supporters.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and work-ethic.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Reliability and punctuality.
• Required to pass and complete upon hiring: Background Verification Check United Educators (UE): Protecting Children: Identifying and Reporting Sexual Misconduct” Course Cleary Training Attestation Form
• Availability for the majority of the following audition and interview sessions: Center for Music Saturday, December 13, 2025: 8:00am – 4:00pm (on-campus and Zoom) Saturday, January 24, 2026: 8:00am – 4:00pm (on-campus and Zoom) Saturday, February 7, 2026: 8:00am – 4:00pm (on-campus and Zoom) Saturday, February 21, 2026: 8:00am – 4:00pm (on-campus and Zoom) Center for Theatre and Dance Saturday, December 6, 2025: 8:00am – 12:00pm (on-campus), 1:00pm – 5:00pm (Zoom) Saturday, January 31, 2026: 10:00am – 1:00pm (Zoom), 2:00pm – 5:00pm (Zoom) Saturday, February 14, 2026: 8:00am – 12:00pm (on-campus), 1:00pm – 5:00pm (Zoom) Saturday, February 21, 2026: 8:00am – 12:00pm (on-campus), 1:00pm – 5:00pm (Zoom)
