About The Position

Southern New Hampshire University is seeking two student employees to work with our partner organization - Mokse Educational Services. The Navigators Network Coordinator plays a pivotal role in fostering collaboration among community partners dedicated to supporting formerly incarcerated individuals as they reintegrate into society. This position involves coordinating efforts across various states to create a robust network of resources, services, and support systems aimed at assisting individuals transitioning from prison to community life. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and communication skills, a deep understanding of the challenges faced by formerly incarcerated individuals, and a passion for social justice, civic education, and community development. By driving collaboration and innovation, the Navigators Network Coordinator will contribute to creating a supportive environment that empowers organizations and individuals to successfully work together.

Requirements

  • Current enrollment in classes as part of a SNHU degree program.
  • Work study part of financial aid package. Students with work study may be prioritized.
  • Strong communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Teams.
  • Students with experience with incarceration and the criminal justice system are strongly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, including non-profit organizations, government agencies, higher educational institutions, and local businesses, to develop a comprehensive networking program that is centered on civic education and the intersection of business, government, and society.
  • Oversee and coordinate the quarterly Navigators Network Newsletter.
  • Facilitate monthly meetings to ensure all partners are aligned in their efforts and to share best practices and resources.
  • Meet regularly with their supervisor to discuss projects on an ongoing basis.
  • Maintain and update the membership database.
  • Attend monthly team meetings and provide updates on projects.
