About The Position

Support Manufacturing Engineering activities within a production environment, contributing to process improvements, documentation, and operational efficiency. This role offers hands-on experience working alongside engineering teams in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a related post-secondary program in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a similar field (degree or diploma). Students from both university and technical college programs are encouraged to apply.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Proactive, dependable, and eager to learn
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to lift materials as required and follow safety procedures
• Strong commitment to workplace safety

Nice To Haves

• Experience with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, NX) is an asset

Responsibilities

• Support manufacturing engineering projects and daily operations
• Assist in achieving production and operational performance metrics
• Maintain accurate records in manufacturing logs and systems
• Support design and improvement of tooling, equipment, and workstations
• Assist with production layouts, workflow, and inventory optimization
• Update and maintain standard work instructions
• Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives (5S, value stream mapping, etc.)
• Contribute to continuous improvement and problem-solving activities
• Conduct process observations to support consistency and efficiency
• Support material review processes (MRB) for non-conforming materials
