About The Position

Maintain accurate attendance records for the campus. Under close supervision, perform data entry including attendance, Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS) data, and grades.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to use software to develop spreadsheets and databases, and do word processing
  • Proficient in keyboarding, 10-key numerical data entry, and file maintenance
  • Ability to meet established deadlines
  • Above average oral and written communication skills
  • Job training with Information Services on PEIMS and computer skills is required
  • Three years clerical experience

  • Three years data entry experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Collect and enter attendance and PEIMS data into established database and verify accuracy according to prescribed procedures.
  • Maintain student records and process requests for student information and transcripts. Process new student records, including requesting transcripts and records from other schools.
  • Assist parents, students, and faculty with questions regarding student attendance.
  • Contact parents/guardians to verify student absences as needed and report attendance problems to designated administrator.
  • Prepares attendance profiles for student/parents/court requests.
  • Supervises attendance office student workers.
  • Prepares data for court referrals and hearings.
  • Prepares attendance awards and certificates lists.
  • Types attendance warning letters and drops letters.
  • Compile, maintain, file, and distribute all reports, records, and other documents as required following established procedures.
  • Keeps informed of and complies with state and district policies and regulations.
  • Prepares the graduation list under the guidance of the counselors.
  • Maintains the students' grade point averages and rank in class.
  • Works with counselors to provide students with information about courses and graduation requirements.
  • Assist in campus office as needed.
  • Participates in training sessions, faculty meetings, and special events, as required.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the campus principal or designee.
