Requirements

  • Two years of college coursework and one year of prior experience which must include accounting/bookkeeping/cash management and customer service are required.
  • In lieu of education, an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Must have an understanding of the Fair Credit Act and of federal regulations for loan programs.

  • Understanding of Federal Regulations for Loan Programs such as Perkins and NSLDS

Nice To Haves

  • Some college coursework in business, accounting, or another finance area is highly desirable.
  • The successful candidate will have excellent customer service skills and be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Under direct supervision the primary responsibilities are the account maintenance of Federal Loan Programs (Perkins, LDS, HPSL, PCL, Nursing, and NFLP), Institutional Loan programs and outstanding tuition account receivables which includes exit paperwork, loan benefits, and revenue collection until paid in full for portion of the alphabet A-F.
  • Understanding and following federal and institutional guidelines for processing benefits and collection revenue on all loan funds for portion of the alphabet A-F.
  • Working with the Bursar’s Office and Financial Aid to ensure proper holds are put on accounts and communication is open to the students.
  • Records ACH, credit card, and check payments in CRC daily and prepares deposit.
  • Prints monthly batch mail including invoices, benefit mail, and due diligence.
