About The Position

The Student Life Support Staff is vital in assisting and enhancing the student life experience on campus. This position supports various student affairs functions and activities, fostering a positive and inclusive campus environment. The role caters to the needs of students outside regular class hours. Some Saturdays are required.

• Proven / demonstrated skills in conflict resolution.

Responsibilities

• Manage evening activities in the Center for Civic Engagement for the Office of Student Life, including planning, organizing, and executing student events, workshops, seminars, and social activities.
• Act as a liaison between students and the Student Affairs department, addressing their concerns and ensuring they know available resources and services.
• Aid in coordinating student activities to help new students acclimate to campus life.
• Stay informed about campus resources, services, and academic policies to provide accurate information and referrals to students related to Student Life.
• Assist in promoting student affairs programs and events through various channels, including social media, posters, and email communications.
• Collaborate with other support staff, student organizations, faculty, and administration to create a cohesive student life experience.
• Provide support and guidance to students in need, directing them to appropriate resources or counselors when necessary.
• Collect and maintain data related to student affairs programs, attendance, and feedback for assessment and improvement.
