Projects range in size and type, but have a focus on community spaces, urban places, land planning, recreational spaces, and housing. STUDENT LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT INTERN SUMMARY: This position is a temporary practicum in landscape architecture. Incumbents will assist licensed landscape architects as needed by performing any or all of the following duties.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree (BS) program from an accredited Landscape Architecture program or school.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as averages, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to utilized and understand geometric principles.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Knowledge of Database software, Design software (i.e. AutoCAD, Sketch Up, etc.), Internet software, Spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software.
  • Must have a valid driver license and clean driving history.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in providing drafting and presentation support for Prism/Crafton Tull projects.
  • Assists in preparing conceptual graphics, construction documents and other documentation for projects.
  • Uses a variety of programs including, AutoCAD civil 3d, sketch up, Adobe creative suites, and Land F/X.
  • Works closely with the Landscape Architect, Civil Engineer, Engineer Intern, Project Manager, support staff, and other team members to produce construction drawings.
  • Make corrections to plans; follow redlines provided by supervisor.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
